Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Arrive

Online registration has closed. What should I do?

When you arrive next week, we encourage you to visit Summit Headquarters to register in person. It will still be free! By registering, you’ll gain access to book discounts from ACU Press and meal discounts from the World Famous Bean. Summit Headquarters will be in room 103 of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building; find helpful maps here.

Note: you may still purchase tickets to certain meals and other ticketed events through this link.

Does Summit cost anything?

Registration is free, as are nearly all events and activities throughout Summit. However, Summit is made possible by generous friends and partners like you. If you find value in our programs and content, please consider making a donation.

Where can I stay during Summit?

We have arranged for special discounted rates with a number of hotels in Abilene. Check out the Where to Stay page for details.

While You’re Here

Where is Summit Headquarters?

Like last year, Summit Headquarters will be in room 103 of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building (see our maps page for help). Our registration team will be ready to give you your name badge, help with in-person registration or meal tickets, and to answer any questions you have. Summit Headquarters will be open during the following times:

  • Monday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Wednesday from 8:00 AM - 12:00 noon

Is there a mobile app again this year?

Yes! Visit guidebook.com/g/summit19/ on your mobile device. Tap the download button to get the free Guidebook app. Then open the Guidebook app and look for the ACU Summit guide.

May I park on campus during Summit?

Yes! Be sure to display your Summit parking pass to avoid a parking ticket. If you do receive a ticket, please visit us at the Summit office so we can clear the charge for you! See the ACU campus map for parking locations.

Will shuttles be available?

Student volunteers with golf carts will be moving between parking lots for your convenience. They operate free of charge, so let them know where you’re heading, and they’ll be happy to get you there!

Where can I eat during Summit?

Summit includes a number of special meals and receptions, and our Where to Eat page lists nearby restaurants and coffee shops.

Will childcare be available during Summit?

Please contact our office at 325-674-3750 or summit@acu.edu to inquire about childcare.

After You Return Home

Where can I find Summit recordings?

Visit our collection of audio recordings archived within the Digital Commons at ACU. The audio files there extend all the way back to 1957, representing the full extant collection of audio recordings made of the main theme speeches, individual classes, and special events! You may access any of these recordings free of charge. See the Digital Commons page for information about how to listen.

Additionally, a number of Summit videos are available on YouTube in the Siburt Institute’s and Abilene Christian University’s collections.
